CES has created a middle school curriculum focusing on the Pine Flatwoods ecosystem. The curriculum features an original story, The Oldest Pine Tree, and follow one pine tree's adventures throughout his long life. The curriculum include lessons on Fire, Physiology, Flora & Fauna and Human Influences in the Pine Flatwoods. Each lesson is correlated to Florida's Sunshine State Standards (SSS's) to prepare students for the FCAT.
