FMNP training is for persons interested in learning more about

for persons at all levels of knowledge and will benefit Florida
citizens and seasonal residents, teachers seeking educational contact
hours, and others wishing to increase their knowledge for use in
educational programs as volunteers, employees, and ecotourism guides.
ADULT ECOTOURS
The
Adult Outreach Program provides Eco-tour field workshops for groups
of scientists, professionals and environmentalists, offering an
opportunity to explore the Kissimmee River and learn about the on-going
Restoration Project. Participants explore the biological habitats
of the river and learn about the river restoration, hydrology and
engineering structures. The objective of the program is to increase
the awareness of adults about the complexities of water resource
management and the greater Everglades restoration. Participants
learn about the watershed, the biological habitats of the river,
and hydrology, as well as historical and cultural components of
the region.
One-day Programs include a 3 hour trip on the Kissimmee River via
pontoon boat or canoe. Overnight Programs are also available. Check
out our regional partners to learn about
other educational opportunities in the area. Riverwoods Field Laboratory
is the perfect location for any type of educational group to hold
a retreat.
